Villarreal centre-back Jorge Cuenca says the players are now adjusting to the methods of new coach Quique Setien.
Setien is using the World Cup break to bed down his tactics.
Cuenca said: “With the arrival of the new coach, the injuries and the World Cup, it's been an atypical month, but that's football. They give you new experiences and it's good to adapt to these things. I think the team will come out of this stronger.
“I always see myself with options to fight for everything. I give my all and I think I will have options. I'm happy at the club, I have to keep growing little by little. It's been a good first part of the season, I've played my part in achieving the team's objectives."
On the return of Gerard Moreno, he added: “He's a fundamental part of the team, he's a very important reference in the end. We're all looking forward to him coming back and doing better than ever."
