Villarreal are in advanced talks over Sporting Gijon wing-back Roberto Canella.

New Villarreal coach Ernesto Valverde is keen to see the deal closed and has given the green light for fringe players to be offered in part-exchange.

Jonathan Pereira and Leonardo Sigali have been mentioned as candidates to go to Sporting as part of the Canella deal.
