Aston Villa captain Ron Vlaar insists they'll beat the drop - even without star man Christian Benteke.

The Belgian was sent off against Chelsea and will be suspended for the last-day drama at Wigan, who could overhaul Villa if they win their final two games.

But Villa ace Vlaar said: "In the last few months we have only lost against top-six teams and beaten all the teams around us.

"If you look through the season the confidence is a lot better. The way we play is better. We were right on top at one stage during the Chelsea game. We definitely deserved some points."
