Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has rejected an approach from Napoli for striker John Carew.

Napoli sports chief Pierpaolo Marino made contact with Villa on Friday to ask about the availability of Norway international Carew.

However, it was made clear to Marino that Carew was not for sale.
