Aston Villa have settled on a fee with Chelsea for midfielder Steve Sidwell.
The Daily Mail says Villa manager Martin O'Neill will agree to pay £5million for Sidwell.
Villa manager O'Neill hopes Sidwell can sort out personal terms quickly as half of the £5m is going to the former Reading midfielder as a pay-off, so Villa can keep his wages down.
