Aston Villa have opened talks with Manchester City over a permanent deal for Scott Sinclair.

The Daily Star Sunday says Villa have opened negotiations over a permanent £3.5million move for Sinclair.

Villa want first option on the winger, 25, whose superb goal against West Brom last week clinched their FA Cup semi-final place.

Sinclair is keen on a permanent move to Villa Park and the clubs will talk again at the end of the season, when Villa's fate is known.
