Aston Villa midfielder Karim El Ahmadi admits he was fortunate to survive an X-rated challenge from Chelsea's Ramires on Saturday.
El Ahmadi has claimed he was lucky not to be seriously injured by Ramires during Saturday's 1-0 defeat of Chelsea.
"On the field I did not realise it was so serious," El Ahmadi told Dutch newspaper Tubantia.
"Now, I've seen the pictures and realise it could have been fatal. My leg could have folded over."
