Newcastle United won't get a clear run at FC Twente defender Douglas.
Twente are resigned to losing Douglas in the summer to a Premier League move - with Toon a favoured destination.
However, the Evening Chronicle says Fulham and Aston Villa are also interest in the ball-playing centre-half.
