Aston Villa are pressing for an investigation into Arsenal's deal for Zenit St Petersburg attacker Andrei Arshavin.
The Daily Mail says senior representatives from the 20 Premier League clubs will be in London for a scheduled meeting with Premier League officials and the controversial circumstances surrounding Arshavin's £12million move from Zenit St Petersburg will be high on the agenda.
Paul Faulkner, Villa's chief operating officer, will be among a number of club officials keen to know how any player can be signed after the deadline has passed.
A Premier League statement that said the signing of Arshavin had been 'substantively completed prior to the closure of the January transfer window' is unlikely to satisfy them.
