David Villa insists Valencia's poor home form cannot be used as an excuse.

Reflecting on Tuesday night's defeat by Rosenborg, strike-ace Villa said: "I do not believe that it is better to be playing away from home. It is true that we are losing more at home than away, but I'm always going to say the same: every team plays better at home than away.

"We must trust this field and make it a bunker."

On Ronald Koeman's appointment, Villa added: "They are decisions that are taken from above and what we must do is simply give everything to him. It is not the time to look for the guilty ones because we all want a successful Valencia."
