Aston Villa defender Ciaran Clark says there's no chance of returning to the England fold.

Clark has won three senior Ireland caps but they were all in friendly games, against Wales, Uruguay and Greece.

That has led some to believe that the Aston Villa defender - who captained England at Under-20 level - could play for them again.

Clark, 23, said: "I was regular for England Under-17, Under-18s, at the start of my career, but it's moved on now.

"I know there are a couple of friendly internationals leading up to the World Cup qualifiers and I've got to see what happens with that.

"Would I go back to England? No chance of that, not at all."
