Norwich City boss Paul Lambert is being linked with the Aston Villa job.
The Scottish Sun says Villa owner Randy Lerner is set to fly to the UK this week to work with chief executive Paul Faulkner to get the ex-Scotland and Celtic skipper - who led Norwich to a 2-0 win over Villa on Sunday - on board.
They face a fight, though, with the Canaries desperate to keep Lambo, 42, after he guided them to a 12th-place finish in their first season back in England's top flight. Last night their chief executive David McNally issued a hands-off warning to Villa.
But that is unlikely to be enough to keep Lambert at a club he feels he has taken as far as he can.
