Villa boss sees home form as key to finishing fourth

Aston Villa and Arsenal are fighting it out for fourth spot in the Premier League and a lucrative Champions League place. Villa boss Martin O'Neill feels they need to take full advantage of their home games.

The Irishman told the Birmingham Mail, "Every advantage that we can now get at home we should grab. I just think it will be a genuine team effort, not only the players but from the supporters as well.

"In terms of the number of points needed, I couldn't tell you. But I said it last week, and I stand by it, there will be twists and turns.

"There will be matches that you think you have won, like Stoke City, and wonder how you didn't. And there will be other games where you might sneak a last-minute goal that you maybe haven't deserved and you find that the results elsewhere have gone particularly well for you that weekend.

"It genuinely will be like that," he said.
