Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has accepted substantial undisclosed libel damages at the High Court in Britain.

The settlement is connected to a website claim that he attempted to induce a player to break his contract.

His solicitor says the allegations caused severe damage to his reputation as well as serious embarrassment and distress.
