Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill says his January market plans will step up immediately after tonight's game against Hull City.

"Perhaps people are looking at our young players, who are doing exceptionally well but Villa are a more attractive proposition," said O'Neill.

"I don't know if there will be an inflated market or whether the credit crunch will affect what happens but we want to keep the momentum going and have a look.

"We could do with strengthening. I haven't asked anyone about any player yet.

"But after we get the Hull game out of the way then I will be looking at it."
