Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is expecting more from striker Luke Moore after the youngster's goal in Sunday's draw at Bolton Wanderers.

He told Villa's website: "It will be pleasing for him, it was pleasing for all of us, obviously, because you are off the mark. It was a goal.

"Strikers, whatever they say, you are hoping to make a big contribution elsewhere - foraging and doing this and that in games, but eventually you know in your own mind when you go home that you would have liked to have scored a goal.

"That will certainly be a weight off his mind. It is a big boost. When John Carew scored that goal against Everton for the next 15 or 20 minutes the confidence he got from that, it was Carew back to his very best. So it is a really big lift."
