Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is set to recall Darren Bent to his starting line-up for their clash with Tottenham.

The Mirror says Lambert is not upset at the forward's outburst this week - he wants to generate fierce competition for places.

The Scot's staff feel that if Wayne Rooney is not guaranteed a start at Manchester United, then there's no reason why Bent should at Villa.

Lambert has stated he will treat all players equally and pick on form, not price tags.
