Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier has confirmed interest in Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weiderfeller.
The Daily Mail says Houllier admitted he has enquired about Weiderfeller's situation.
The Dortmund No1 is off contract in June and can sign a pre-contract with Villa from next week.
Houllier also admitted that he had done a U-turn on Brad Friedel's contract offer.
