Villa agent tells Barcelona: £30M not enough for Valencia to sell
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Fri, 12/26/2008 - 06:43
The agent of David Villa is aware that Barcelona have failed with a £30 million bid for the Valencia ace.
Jose Luis Tamargo, who has also held talks with Manchester City about the diminutive striker, said: "Today one team jumps out, tomorrow another. There are offers, but David has a contract until 2014 with Valencia and is super happy with his current club where he is focused on winning the Liga, the Uefa Cup and the Copa del Rey.
"At these figures (£30 million) Valencia is not ready to sell him. The fans of Valencia can rest easy that Villa will stay with them."

"I was watching "Revista De La Liga" on skysports (UK) yesterday and Guilem Balgue (spelling) was saying that its pure lie. He claimed Valencia rejected 40Mil Euro from Madrid not too long ago, so why would Barca go with inferior offer? And he also said Villa wouldnt be eligible for Champs League as he has played more than one uefa cup game for Valencia this season. And Valencia are asking for 60Mil Euros.
The guy also claimed he spoke to Villa and his agent and they rubbished the report. But he (balague) thinks David Villa is most likely going to move to Barca in the summer. And that would also make Eto'o sign his renewal (cant hold us to ransome)"
As a barca fan, I dont think buying villa will be of any good bcos we have in depth a player in Hleb which has skill just of his so definately getting villa is waste of money. Penultimately, chance should be given to Bojan as well as Keita to excel. Long Live the Greatest Club Barcelona!!!
