Manchester City chief Patrick Vieira has taken aim at title rivals Manchester United.

Club ambassador Vieira conquered United in the title race three times with Arsenal.

Frenchman Vieira warned United: "At Arsenal we believed in ourselves and we won the title - and I see the same belief here in the players at City.

"When you look at our team and how we have played since the start of the season and you look at how United have played, the fact is we are better than them.

"Alex Ferguson knows how to win the league better than anybody else, but I believe we have the players, manager and desire to win the title this time.''
