Reds coach Aurelio Vidmar was generally satisfied with his team's performance but pointed out that there was still some work to do.
"I think we were a little bit rusty at times in the first half but in the second half I thought we got a little bit more cohesion, so I'm really pleased with the way they finished off the game.
"There is still a lot of football to be played but winning tonight was a real positive and not conceding a goal again, that was very pleasing."
The Reds face Queensland Roar in Brisbane next week while the Glory will host Newcastle Jets.
