David Belenguer, the Getafe skipper, still harbours Premiership ambitions despite being 36. The defender has been rumoured to be targeted by English top flight teams, including Tottenham, where his former boss Juande Ramos is struggling.

"I am very keen on this league but I am good at Getafe," Belenguer told AS. "I am not into commenting on rumours, even if for sure he (Juande Ramos) was my coach.

"But willing to make the step to this league is one thing, and signing a contract is another one. Saying I want to play there is no secret."
