Thomas Vermaelen has started training with Barcelona's first team squad this season.
The former Arsenal captain hasn't been able to work with the squad for three and a half months due to injury problems.
The Belgian centre-back has abandoned the "specific work" that he was undertaking and has now trained with the rest of the group.
Vermaelen joined Barça from Arsenal in a €15m deal but has not yet been able to take part in an official match for his new club.
The only action he's seen was a few minutes for Barca B against Philippines' Under-19s back in September.
