Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek is not at all surprised that goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer is attracting so much interest. The Fulham custodian is being pursued by several English Premier League rivals and Verbeek understands why.
"He has had one of his best seasons. It is good for him, good for Fulham and good for us (Australia)," said Verbeek.
"I am not surprised there is interest."
The former Middlesbrough man has been one of the major factors in the Cottagers having such a successful term which sees them on the brink of finishing in the top eight, which will qualify them for next season's inaugural Europa league.
