Former Aston Villa striker Darius Vassell fears the team is lacking inspiration.
Attendances have already dropped below 30,000 four times this season and Vassell told the Birmingham Mail it won't get any better unless the team start to entertain.
"What the fans need is a big result," he said.
"They need to beat one of the big boys at home or convincingly see off a team that is close to them in the table.
"That will excite the fans and they'll want to come back for the next game then."
