Vardy: Beating Aston Villa proved training ground efforts working for Leicester

Jamie Vardy says Leicester's domination of Aston Villa was a product of their work on the training field.

The Foxes are second on the Premier League table, restoring their eight point gap to Liverpool with the 4-1 win at Villa Park last weekend.

And Vardy has revealed the hard work Brendan Rodgers' side are putting in on the training pitch.

"It was a really good performance," Vardy said. "We changed tactics and went into a diamond for the first time.

"I think you can see from the work that we've done on the training field we've taken it straight into the game and dominated.

"We're just taking each game as it comes, as we have done all season, so we'll just keep going into each game picking up as many points as we can.

"Obviously, we'll then see where we finish at the end of the season. Then, that will give us something to progress on."
