Vancouver Whitecaps likely to keep Thordarson as coach

MLS expansion franchise Vancouver Whitecaps are highly likely to keep current coach Teitur Thordarson as their head coach.

The USSF Division 2 outfit, who will enter the top flight in 2011, are expected to make an announcement on Thursday installing Thordarson as the man to take them into MLS.

The Icelandic tactician took over at the Whitecaps in late 2007 and has been successful during his tenure, indicating that the club will make him the head coach as they move into the top echelon of football in North America.
