Caleb Clarke has joined German club FC Augsburg on loan from Vancouver Whitecaps.
The 20-year old British Columbia product will spend the next 12 months with the Bundesliga side as the Whitecaps look to fast-track his development in a professional environment in Europe.
"Caleb is a young player with a lot of upside," said Martin Rennie, Whitecaps FC head coach.
"This is a great opportunity for Caleb to continue in his development and we look forward to seeing the progress he'll make while with FC Augsburg."
Clarke, who has scored six goals in seven outings for Canada's U20 team, will train and play with Augsburg's U23 side and will also train regularly with the senior squad.
