Iran manager Carlos Queiroz has named a 28-man provisional squad for a pre-World Cup training camp.
Queiroz will then have to submit his final 23-man roster to FIFA by June 2 ahead of the tournament which takes place in Brazil this summer.
Among the names are Fulham forward Ashkan Dejagah, Eintracht Braunschweig goalkeeper Daniel Davari, Charlton Athletic attacker Rezad Goochannejhad, Vancouver Whitecaps right-back Steven Beitashour and Rubin Kazan starlet Sardar Azmoun who has attracted interest from Arsenal recently.
Iran are drawn alongside Argentina, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Nigeria in Group F at the 2014 World Cup. Their first group stage fixture takes place against Nigeria in Curitiba on June 16.
