Rafael van der Vaart is backing Tottenham's move for Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
Dutch international Van der Vaart arrived at White Hart Lane in an £8million move from Real Madrid on the final day of last summer's transfer window.
Now Van der Vaart, who scored Spurs' opener in the 5-0 Europa League win at Hearts on Thursday, is hoping that manager Harry Redknapp can pull off a similar last-ditch deal for Adebayor.
Rafa said: "He's a big player with a lot of experience."
