Donny van de Beek has been left unconvinced after talks with Manchester United interim coach Ralf Rangnick.
The Dutch midfielder struggled for playing time under former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Rangnick has told van de Beek that he will play much more in the second half of the season.
However, ESPN claim that the 24-year-old is wary of false promises and has started to assess his options.
One of which includes an exit from Old Trafford this month following the opening of the winter transfer window.
A loan move is being considered, however United will get the final say on the terms.
Van de Beek recently lost his place in the Netherlands squad and wants to make sure he is back in contention for the World Cup.
