Valladolid keeper Jacobo ready to reject Real Betis for Celtic move

Spanish goalkeeper Jacobo hopes to move to Celtic this summer.

The Real Valladolid No1 impressed the Hoops boss in a bounce game at Lennoxtown last year.

A potential move fell through and Celts went for Fraser Forster but Jacobo has told Valladolid he won't sign a new deal and claims Celts want him.

He told the Scottish Sun: "My agent Gonzalo Arguinano has told me the agent who worked on my move to Celtic last season has contacted him again about my situation. I am tired of Spain. It is the right time for a change.

"This is not a case of me just getting a higher salary by moving to Celtic.

"Last year's interest from them opened my eyes. I am even more determinate to play abroad.

"Celtic is top priority. Real Betis, Deportivo la Coruna, Levante, Olympiakos Volou and Skoda Xanthi want me but I told my agent to stop any enquiries until I find out more about Celtic.

"I hope something can be done with Celtic. I was heartbroken. I thought I would be a Celtic player and the deal fell through."
