Valencia's Brazilian striker Marcos Andre gained Spanish nationality on Friday.

Marcos André says he is "fulfilling a dream" that "he had been looking for for a long time".

"I'm very happy. It's a dream come true for me. I've been looking for this for many years. It's a dream come true," he said.

"It's good for me and for the club. We've been looking to get this practically since the moment I signed. I'm very happy. I think that this also opens many doors for the club and gives them a greater margin.

"Everybody has congratulated me because they know that it's very important for everybody. Now we've got it.

"I'm very happy on a personal and sporting level. Spanish nationality was very important to me, I've been trying for it for many years. I can't complain. Things are going well and I'm very happy."
