Valencia striker Manu Vallejo: Real Zaragoza defeat wasn't good

Valencia striker Manu Vallejo says they must learn from yesterday's defeat to Real Zaragoza.

The result was a first defeat in preseason for new coach Jose Bordalas.

Vallejo told the club's website, "We're all clear that it wasn't a good game at all from us. In the end, it's another preseason test, and we're assimilating the concepts that the coach wants to transmit.

"We've got a lot to improve and to correct, but the good thing is that there is the agreement amongst the squad that we want, and the desire is there. It's another game, we have to forget about it and keep working, because this is normal in preseason.

"In the end, we're Valencia CF, and we want to win every game. We tried to do what the coach asked of us, but we haven't had much time together yet and there has been a lot of exertion. We can only keep on working and correcting things, facing every preseason game with the mindset of reaching the first game of the season in the best shape possible. "
