Juan Mata hopes the arrival of Ronald Koeman can quickly boost Valencia after this week's drubbing by Real Madrid.

The former Real B star said: "I hope that with the new coach, the team will improve and return to be what we were with that winning streak earlier this season."

Los Che striker Miguel Angel Angulo also said: "What I want is that he comes here as quickly as he can so we can get down to work and lift ourselves from this current situation."

On caretaker coach Oscar Fernandez, Angulo added: "Oscar did the best he could. He can't be blamed for Wednesday."
