Valencia have opened talks with Real Zaragoza for midfielder Alberto Zapater.
The Spain U21 international is reluctant to play in the Segunda Liga following Zaragoza's relegation last week and is now the subject of an approach from Valencia.
With Ever Banega unsettled, Zapater could arrive as a direct replacement for the Argentine.
