Valencia defender Rami shuts door on Man Utd, slates Premier League

Valencia defender Adil Rami is happy at the Mestalla.

The stopper is being linked with Manchester United ahead of the January market opening.

"I am only thinking about Valencia and fighting for a title such as the Copa del Rey," he told Superdeporte.

"I want to become a historical player for this club because I am happy here. The people have been sensational to me.

"I would prefer not to talk about (the rumours) but obviously I'm pleased.

"It means that I am performing well and that is what I want. But right now that (Manchester United) is not my objective.

"La Liga is more important than the Premier League. In England it is much more physical; that's not a problem for me, but I prefer to touch the ball."
