Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi has ducked questions about Nicolas Otamendi's future.
A target for Manchester United and Manchester City, Otamendi is expected to skip Valencia's Champions League qualifier against AS Monaco this week.
"I'm out on the pitch to do my job. I'll give the player beside me all the support I can in order for him to do his job well. It doesn't change anything. The team that steps out to face Monaco are going to give their all," he said.
Of Otamendi's replacement, Rubén Vezo, Mustafi added: "He's always motivated. He's a true professional and knows that he has to be ready to deliver when he is called upon to play. He's ready."
