Valencia defender Eray Cömert is excited to be part of Switzerland's World Cup squad.

The Swiss have drawn Brazil in a tough group.

Comert said: "I'm more happy than nervous. It's my first World Cup and an incredible experience for me. I'm very happy to be going to the World Cup.

"I think that our group is the toughest. Brazil are the favourites to win the World Cup, Serbia have a very good team, and Cameroon have very good players too. The first game against Cameroon is very important for us. When you start well, anything is possible.

"We have a very good team as well, and we believe that the other teams know this. We reached the quarter finals in Euro 2020, losing on penalties to Spain. The big sides know that we are a good team.

"Personally, I have a lot of confidence and I'm taking that into the World Cup. I don't know how we'll do, but I'll be ready."
