Valencia coach Unai Emery has confirmed they hope to wrap up the signing of Tottenham goalkeeper Cesar Sanchez.

Emery said: "We need to sign a goalkeeper because of the injury to Renan. We must also think about finances and the economic situation of the club.

"Cesar fits into these parameters. He already knows the Spanish league and he would adapt and be incorporated immediately. He would be ready to come and although he is 37 years old he is full of desire."
