Valencia coach Ruben Baraja was delighted with victory over Cadiz.
Los Che maintained their impressive early season form with a 2-0 win on Monday night.
Baraja said: "I am satisfied and looking forward to the next match. We had to do many things well. We entered the game very well with the goal.
"In the first half hour we transformed dominance into goals. With the dismissal it was a different game . We had to be careful that in any action they could get involved in the game.
"The two goals were nice. Gayà scored very well. It's good that he's there and if he scores goals even better. Hugo's goal came from a rabona pass from Thierry. They were two good goals.
"Diego López gives you depth and speed in spaces. He can run and he has to be close to the goal. He gives us many options and versatility."
