Valencia coach Ruben Baraja is backing the club and the fans after Vinicius Jr's court hearing this week.
The Real Madrid star has angered Valencia by allegedly claiming in a court hearing that he was subject of racist chants from the entire Mestalla crowd last season.
Baraja said today: “My feeling is that measures were taken to solve it and it was shown that they were specific situations and not the entire stadium as argued.
Baraja aligned himself with the statement issued by Valencia after learning of the Brazilian's statement. The club said it was surprised and outraged and demanded a "rectification" from the Madrid player.
Baraja insisted the club had paid "the toll".
“For me it is a closed case, we have already paid a toll, some consequences."
