Crystal Palace have released a statement announcing the passing of club president Peter Morley, CBE.
The 84-year old died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday night at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley.
Morley was appointed chairman of the Eagles during the South London clubs fall into administration in the late 1990s and in 2000 became president - a role he held for the past 13 years.
He will be sadly missed by all at the club and condolences are sent to wife Paula and daughters Fran and Alex .
