Victor Valdes is prepared to drop his wage demands to seal a move to Liverpool.
The Daily Star Sunday says released by Barcelona last season, Valdes is now back to full fitness but was rumoured to have shunned an offer of a trial at the Reds, saying that he did not need to prove himself.
However, now it is believed that he would take the position between the sticks in Liverpool and would even come for less than the £90,000-a-week wage he was on in the Catalan state.
A contract offer is set to be a short-term one with extension clauses, giving Brendan Rodgers a way out of the deal if the keeper was to injure himself again.
