Hertha Berlin defender John Anthony Brooks has revealed that he would like to represent the Germany U21 national team.
The 20-year old Berlin-born Brooks, who has an American father, has played for the USA U20 side on a handful of occasions but told Der Tagespiegel that he is also interested in playing for Die Mannschaft at youth level.
"It would be great if I could be an option for the U-21 team," he said while in U20 camp. "That obviously makes me happy."
Brooks was born and raised in Berlin and joined Hertha's senior ranks in 2011 after arriving at the youth academy the year prior.
