Clint Dempsey feels the USA are in a decent position in terms of their qualification chances for the 2014 World Cup.
The Tottenham star and his US teammates produced a 0-0 draw with arch rivals Mexico at the Azteca Stadium on Tuesday and now sit third in the hexagonal group with four points from three outings, behind Costa Rica on goal difference and a point in arrears of leaders Panama.
"We like the position we're in right now but it's about building upon that and trying to get as many points as possible," Dempsey said.
"We're on a good run of form from the stance of four points in two games (following Friday's win over Costa Rica) and hopefully we can keep getting points, whether it's a draw or a win. You like to think your home games are must win and anything you get away from home is a bonus."
The US next meet take on Jamaica in Kingston on June 7 before hosting Panama in Seattle four days later and then Honduras in Utah on June 18.
