USA boss Klinsmann part of Tottenham contingency plan

Reports suggest that Tottenham may target Juergen Klinsmann if Andre Villas-Boas doesn't achieve success at White Hart Lane.

The Daily Mail suggests that Spurs could look to the USA national team manager after next summer's World Cup if the north London club do not qualify for the Champions League come the end of the 2013/14 Premier League season.

Klinsmann, who played in two spells for Tottenham in 1994/95 and 1997/98, has been a hit with the US team since 2011. He has led them to 13th in FIFA's latest rankings, the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup and of course qualification to Brazil 2014.

The former Stuttgart, Inter Milan, Monaco and Bayern Munich ace has also recently been linked with the Switzerland national team job.
