Aron Johannsson is looking forward to returning to the ground where his pro career begun.
?The AZ Alkmaar striker, 24, will grace the NRGi Park pitch with the USA national team in a friendly against Denmark on Wednesday for the first time since leaving AGF Aarhus.
?Johannsson has been an integral player for AZ in the Dutch Eredivisie since arriving from Denmark but he knows he may not now be enjoying the fruits of his labour if it wasn't for Aarhus.
?"That was my first club as a professional soccer player and it had a huge influence on my career," he told USsoccer.com.
?"Maybe if I hadn't gone there, who would know where I would be today?"
?Johannsson added: "For me personally it's a really nice city. I hope [my teammates] are going to enjoy it.
?"Obviously it's not a 10 million-person city, but it's just a nice small city and it was very nice to live there. I can't wait to be back." ?
