US women's soccer legend Mia Hamm has been appointed to the AS Roma board.
Hamm, who represented her country for 17 years scoring over 150 goals, was voted onto the board at yesterday's shareholders' meeting.
Former President Thomas DiBenedetto and CEO Claudio Fenucci, who will reportedly join Joe Tacopina in Bologna, both leave the board, with Hamm and Richard D'Amore taking their places.
The new board line-up, which no longer includes Unicredit, will now be in charge until June 2017.
