Everton's Tim Cahill believes the upcoming summer is huge for the Merseyside club.
As many players from the Everton line-up prepare for the World Cup in South Africa, Cahill believes that it is an important time with the tournament being a type of shop window for managers all over the world.
"This is a massive summer for Everton. I think this is the biggest time. We are going into a World Cup, players are on show, and if a player has a half decent World Cup then everyone wants to sign them," he told the Liverpool Echo.
"Hopefully we can get players signed up and then we can concentrate on having a really good pre-season and the manager won't have any worries. There is always pressure on every season but I honestly believe next season can be really exciting for Everton."
And Cahill was confident the Toffees can build on their strong form last season and achieve big things in 2010/11 and beyond.
"I think we have shown that we can achieve something next season. Two losses in 24 games is a platform to achieve something big," he added.
